Have you ever been reluctant to do exactly what you know you should do? Have you gone ahead and outright led a personal spiritual mutiny against God's choices or desires for your life? Do you have a big view of God but still actively wrestle against giving him control?

WARNING: If God wants to use you, he will. What if you don't want his will, ways or wants to direct you? Can you run? Can you hide?Jonah offers you an honest look at the times when we know God's best and choose to flat-out ignore it and even run from it. In these mutiny moments, God can be as relentless as you are reluctant. To prepare for your personal wrestling with God and his best for you, I recommend you begin this study by sitting down in a comfortable chair with your Bible open to the Old Testament book of Jonah. Take the 15 minutes it takes to read through the four chapters that reveal to us great insights into Jonah's BIG GOD. Before continuing with the individual studies, ask God to show you how big and active he really is.

The lessons we're looking for in Jonah are not lessons about Jonah. We're looking for lessons about our God, his bigness and his active involvement in the life of one of his reluctant servants.
